My "Olive Oil Skirt" Part 1

I had been looking through my BurdaStyle Magazines for my next project.  I had previously marked a page in the Spring 2014 edition, it's called the Olive Oil skirt. I really like this look and decided to use my khaki cotton sateen from my stash.
I cut a size 44 and added onto the side seams, per the pattern, I needed to add on for my hips, so i added the same amount up to the waist.  Easier to remove fabric then add it!
I really enjoyed working with this fabric, I got it from Fabricmartfabrics.com, it holds it shape well.

I did not put the back pockets in, I just did the welt part and made faux pockets.

I found this pattern really easy to make, the instructions are easy to follow.  Because I sew a lot, I read over the instructions and then got onto the sewing.
